Middle School Summer Band will be held the week of August 6-10 and August 20-24 from 8:00am until 11:00am (percussion stay until 1:00pm) in the Heritage Middle School dining hall!  Attendance is not required, but is STRONGLY recommended.  With school starting a month late, we need a head start.  Our first performance will be at the Heritage High School vs LFO football game -- the first Friday of school.  8th graders should check www.legionofgenerals.org for the most up-to date information about the high school band.  Let's start the 2012-2013 season off with an amazing Summer Band!  There is no cost for HMS Summer Band!

No morning rehearsals this week.  No after school rehearsals this week.  Jazz Band will perform at this Tuesday's Academic Awards assemblies.  Jazz Band should dress nicely for the Awards Assemblies -- no jeans, t-shirts, or tennis shoes.  All band vests should be returned as soon as possible.  All practice logs are due (16 hours) before summer break.  Have a GREAT summer!

If you would like to charge a band expense to your child's individual fundraising account, please fill out a band expenditure form and turn it in to Mr. Wynn.  The form must be signed by a parent! Questions about student account balances should be emailed to Kevin Wileman , the band booster treasurer.

Weekly private lessons are available!  Students interested in a half-hour lesson per week ($15/lesson) should contact Mr. Wynn.  Lessons will be available on Saxophone (Marc Johnson), Flute (Cindy Solfest-Wallis), Clarinet (Jackie Shellabarger), Low Brass (Eric Miller), Percussion (Andrew Marsh), Horn (Tiffany Feltner), & Trumpet (Tommy Bulman).  Checks made out to instructors!
